Ebert

An out-of-town EBERT descendant and researcher noted that the town of Wüstensachen had been mentioned to him. His contact, Bob C., and I have talked on the phone a few times. Bob has done quite a bit of EBERT research, trying to connect our Ferdinand (and Conrad) EBERT to a Johann KRENZER and his own EBERTs. Our EBERTs and Bob's KRENZERs came to America on the same ship and co-owned a cabin and land in Madison County, Illinois, for a few years in the 1840s. Needless to say, Bob realized there had to be a connection between the families at some point. Unfortunately, years of research has yielded no evidence that our EBERT ancestors were from Wüstensachsen, which is where Bob's KRENZER ancestor had emigrated from.
