- Although I haven't been posting as much as I used to, I still try to keep current with the feeds I subscribe to.
- It's great to see Lee Anders back blogging.
- If you've never used a microfilm scanner to make digital copies of records, stop what you're doing and immediately find the nearest one.
- The last few talks I've attended have either not quite been what I expected or, frankly, duds. Sorry, but when I'm either falling asleep or thinking about how many records I could be finding while a speaker bores me, there's a problem. I'm not a public speaker and it may not be fair to criticize, but the problem seems obvious: Don't go on and on about your families if you have no way of offering practical advice that others can use. And if the talk is billed as a couple of hours for teaching others how to do something, you'd better do just that. Anyway, a week from Saturday I'll be going to another talk that, on the surface, promises to be unique and interesting. This is the Show Me State, so we'll see.

It's good to hear from you again too!
I haven't had the pleasure of using a microfilm scanner yet. I will run out tonight and find one. ;-)
The last talk I went to was given by Tony Burroughs, an excellent speaker. If you ever have a chance to hear him, take it. My only regret is that I missed about half of it.
Now, don't you be a stranger!

I'm forming somewhat of an addiction to this scanner. While printing out some rather poor copies today at a different location, I kept telling myself how much better (and cheaper -- free) the scanner would do. In fact, I'm going to start ordering LDS film from the library further away just to use the scanner. I've got enough paper piling up. Having a mess of digital files somehow doesn't bother me as much. ;)
I recall having read about Mr. Burroughs somewhere else. I'll keep en eye out should he ever head this way.
Don't even talk to me about piles of paper. You really don't want to hear my moaning and groaning on the topic. Grr... Someday, I WILL be organized, or dead, or something... LOL...
